Bench W at Kuse Nature Preserve

Hemlock trees, like the ones near Bench W, changed the history of the Taylor County. Only a few of these trees remain. Learn about their significance for this area.

Look for other trees and wild plants. We have transplanted a variety of woodland wildflowers to this location.

In 1998, we moved the cabin home of our grandparents, Joachim and Eleonore Bolz Kuse, from its location on Wheelock Street in Medford to our museum area. Walter Kuse was born in that home.
